Vikaas is the CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund.
A veteran in the financial services industry, Vikaas brings with him over two decades of rich experience. After a brief stint in investment banking, he moved to the asset management industry in 1995 when he joined Birla Sun Life International AMC Ltd. as one of the founder members and stayed there for over a decade.
His subsequent stints included ING Investment Management India Ltd, BoI AXA Investment Managers Ltd and now Edelweiss Asset Management Ltd. He brings to the table a vast repertoire of knowledge and experience across sales and distribution, marketing, product development, compliance, operations, investments and investor servicing.
Apart from being a director on the board of AMFI, he is also actively involved as a committee member in two significant AMFI initiatives (MF Utility initiative and Customer Engagement initiative). He is also on the board of the Mutual Fund Advisory Committee appointed by SEBI, which has been instrumental in coming out with several initiatives for the growth of the asset management industry.
