Prior to founding Xponentia, Mr. Singh was Managing Director of The Carlyle Group, a global market leader in Private Equity investing with over $180 billion of assets under management. In over a decade at The Carlyle Group, he led and was involved with several successful investments in India in excess of USD 1 billion. Previously, he spent over 18 years at Citigroup in various capacities & rose to the rank of Managing Director and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions for Citigroup India. Mr. Singh received an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Hindu College, Delhi University & holds a Masters in Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, Durham NC, USA. He serves on the Executive Committee of the India Venture Capital Association and SEBI’s Alternative Investments Policy Advisory Committee.
