Sanjay has over 24 years of experience in the Financial Media Industry across Print, Television, Internet, and Mobile. For the past 17 years he has been working in the Digital space. An early convert to the digital industry, Sanjay was a part of the original team that launched the economictimes.com website in 1999 and The Investors’s Guide in 1994. ET’s Digital properties now reach out to over 40 Million unique visitors in a month and generate over 500M page-views every month.
Sanjay has worked in various roles across investment research, business editorial, product development and management, marketing, business development and strategy across content, operations, sales, business, marketing and corporate functions. During his various stints he has been responsible for defining products, strategy and business models. He has worked with Bennet, Coleman, Times Internet and Television Eighteen.
He has covered the financial markets extensively during his research and editorial stints and is credited with breaking the failure of US-64 scheme, the largest mutual fund, in 1988. Currently he is Vice President and Business Head for ‘The Economic Times Digital’ and works with his team of 270 engineers, product managers and editorial to deliver the best business news website in India.
He is an Electronics Engineer (BE) with MBA in Finance.
