Randy Bachman is Head of Business Development for Principal International at the Principal Financial Group. He oversees marketing, product strategy, sales & distribution and business development operations working closely with member companies in Brazil, Chile, China, Hong Kong China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico and Thailand. He was also recently appointed as Senior Advisor for Principal India to work with the local leadership team to help with India’s growing need for financial services.

Randy joined the company in 1993 and has held various leadership positions within the Retirement & Investor Services and Principal International business units and most recently was the Chief Marketing Officer for the US Insurance Solutions segment. Randy holds an MBA from Webster University and bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from Southern Illinois University. He is Chairman of the Board for Premier Credit Union, sits on the Advisory Board for the University of Iowa Marketing Institute and has experience as a small business owner. He earned the Retirement Plan Associate designation from Wharton School of Business through the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist program and completed the Business Leadership Certificate program at Drake University.
