Sanjay Sapre is President of Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India). In this capacity, he is responsible for leading Franklin Templeton's retail and institutional business in India.
Previously, Sapre was Senior Vice President, Global Transfer Agency Customer Operations and Customer Service Asia Pacific leading a team of 350 people based in Poznan, India, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. He has been actively engaged in a number of industry initiatives in India and serves on the Board of MF Utilities. During his tenure, he was responsible for delivery of a number of strategic technology projects including a significant system implementation for the International TA. Sapre has over 16 years of experience with Franklin Templeton. During this time, he has held roles in eBusiness and Transfer Agency.
Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, he was a manager at Thomas Cook (India Limited) and was responsible for the company's e-commerce efforts, and supporting business development. He previously worked at Pinnacle Data Systems, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio as manager operations responsible for the company's operations and purchasing functions.
Sapre holds an M.B.A from Ohio University, United States.
